When I was in Geneva, I met Claude who was introduced by Ron Banks to me.
We met in a cafe and he said that he is from Brazil and lives there, also he is a member of Amazoia’s science museum which is located in Para province in Belterra right next to a national park.
It was a great motive for me to to choose Brazil as my first drop off in South America and start my journey from there.
This is school’s holidays now here but Claude organized a meeting with a group of kids in Belterra to show animation of Adam and Lorax.
claude’s wife Janaina Guimaraes C. Gome helped me to find 15 trees ( of course local trees like Cocao ) and we planted them all with kids first and then we watched the movies, but in between I told them about the reason I travel and how amazon is important for the rest of the world.
My very fist project in Brazil went so good and I just started with tree planting, touchon Amazonia’s soil with my hands and left part of my soul here…
Many thanks to Museum of science of Amazonia for their support. ( www.mucamazonia.org)
