Talk show at Islamic Global School
I met some friends from Greenpeace, Dina Purita Antonio-Jufri and Sharon Mealy, in a Moroccan restaurant in Jakarta and after that we had a meeting again to make a program in some schools.
I met the guys, Didit Haryo Wicaksono and Arthur, who are working as forest defenders in Indonesia. They go to schools and invite students to work as volunteers to save the forest in Indonesia.
They have a program at the Islamic Global School on Friday and I joined them. There was a talk show for students and I had the chance to talk about trees at the talk show for a few minutes while the heavy rain was pouring outside. They were going to plant 1000 trees on Sunday but I had a plan to do scuba diving with Arianne. So we changed our schedule and did the diving on Saturday to be free on Sunday and be able to plant trees with them.
Unfortunately, there were flooding in some areas of Jakarta that Sunday and the people who were supposed to pick me up were not able to come because the area on the way to our meeting place was flooded so I lost the chance to plant trees with them.
