After Fatma Bulaz who is correspondence for weneedtrees project contacted almost 15 schools in Warsaw, we finally got an answer from Mr. Colter S . Watt the head of British primary school in warsaw notifying their interest for us to visit the school and plant a tree there.
It was great, finally I could do my job here in Europe (a part of the schools I have done in Netherlands).
we set up an appointment on Monday 12th November.
Today I went to the school 8 in the morning and after a short chat with Mr. Watt I went to the class level 3. For the first class we had 1 hour time and we really did it well with all those clever kids. Of course it is a wonderful school with all its very experienced teachers and very fine programs and plans. No wonder for the pupils to have that much information and being so clever. I really like it to talk with them.
An hour break and then the second class with kids from level 4 and the last one for level 5, and between a very nice chat with some teachers in staff room.
kids were already prepared for the drawings, so I just collected them.
after the 3th class we went for lunch in the café and at last we planted a tree in school yard with all those kids.
it was 20th school’s anniversary and Mrs. Thomas who is the founder of school also joined us for tree planting.
It was great for pupils to have her in our tree planting specially when she gave some dirt to the tree with her hands. I think kids liked it.
I walked out of the school at about 13:45 with a joy in my heart and smile on my face after that job.
Many thanks to Fatma first for all her work and a special thanks to Mr. Watt for accepting our request and supporting the project.
